With our deep roots and extensive experience in the broadcast sector, Intraframe provides cutting-edge broadcast technology services. We are known for our technical proficiency and commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable results for our clients in the media and entertainment industries. This heritage has allowed us to forge strong partnerships with industry leaders across the globe.
A prominent example of this is our collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. Together, Intraframe and Amazon Prime Video embarked on a significant project to enhance Prime Video's operational capabilities in London. This involved the design and build-out of critical infrastructure, reflecting the high standards of quality and reliability that both companies share. Intraframe interfaced with local Amazon team members in London, and worked closely with stakeholders in Seattle, USA, ensuring seamless collaboration across continents.
Intraframe worked closely with Amazon Prime Video, navigating the complexities of an international project, to deliver several key components of their London infrastructure:
London Monitoring Facility: Intraframe designed and built out four Network Operations Centers (NOCs) in London. These NOCs are equipped with a total of 6 engineering positions and feature a flexible monitoring wall solution, capable of displaying content across either 30 or 42 screens. This sophisticated setup empowers Amazon Prime Video to maintain vigilant oversight of their service delivery. This project required close coordination between Intraframe's engineering teams and Amazon Prime Video's local London teams, as well as alignment with US-based stakeholders.
Disaster Recovery (DR) Facility: Recognizing the paramount importance of business continuity, Intraframe also constructed a dedicated Disaster Recovery facility for Amazon Prime Video. This offsite location mirrors critical systems, providing a redundant solution that allows Prime Video to continue monitoring their output and uphold their stringent quality standards, even in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Data Center Device Farm: To support Prime Video's device testing and operational needs, Intraframe delivered a state-of-the-art data hall. Intraframe worked closely with Amazon to build out this facility to the exacting security standards that any AWS facility would be held to, and achieved compliance with their highest level of physical security. This robust infrastructure features a 36-rack installation, designed to accommodate a high-density, high-volume Device Farm. The data hall also houses the essential encoding, monitoring tooling, and networking equipment necessary to ensure the reliable operation of the entire ecosystem. This involved managing logistical challenges associated with an international project, including coordinating equipment delivery and installation across different time zones, and aligning with Amazon's global data center standards.
The successful completion of this multifaceted international project stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit and mutual trust between Intraframe and Amazon Prime Video. By understanding Amazon Prime Video's specific needs and leveraging our expertise in broadcast technology, Intraframe delivered tailored solutions that enhance their operational resilience and support their commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
This project underscores Intraframe's dedication to providing robust, reliable, and cutting-edge solutions for the media and entertainment industry's most demanding clients, and our ability to manage complex international projects. The strong relationships forged with Amazon teams in both London and Seattle are a testament to Intraframe's collaborative approach and commitment to seamless integration with our client's global teams.
