LONDON, UK -- April 18th, 2025 – Intraframe, a leading innovator in advanced video processing and distribution solutions, today announced the launch of its latest product, the IF-85-Q. This versatile 8x5 HDMI Matrix switcher is engineered to provide seamless switching between multiple HDMI sources and displays, enhanced by an integrated Quad Split feature for simultaneous multi-viewing. The IF-85-Q is the ideal solution for a wide range of applications, including streaming broadcast monitoring, professional AV installations, and high-end home theatres.
The IF-85-Q offers users exceptional control over their video and audio workflows. Featuring eight HDMI input ports and five output ports (four independent outputs plus a dedicated Quad Split output), the IF-85-Q allows for effortless routing of any of the eight sources to any of the four displays. The integrated Quad Split functionality elevates this flexibility by enabling the simultaneous display of multiple sources on a single screen. A standout feature of the Quad Split is its ability to support mixed colour space output, allowing for the side-by-side viewing of both High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content – a crucial capability for diverse monitoring environments.
"We are thrilled to introduce the IF-85-Q to the market," said Jim Lisle, Intraframe's Chief Delivery & Development Officer. "This product represents a significant step forward in HDMI matrix technology, combining robust switching capabilities with advanced multi-viewing features. The ability to mix HDR and SDR in the Quad Split is a unique advantage that will greatly benefit professionals in broadcast and AV, as well as enthusiasts building sophisticated home theatre systems."
The IF-85-Q delivers uncompromising video quality, supporting resolutions up to 4K at 60 frames per second. It is compatible with SDR, HDR, and HDR10+, ensuring vibrant and detailed visuals across a variety of content. Complementing the superior video performance is advanced audio support, including Stereo PCM, 5.1, Dolby DD+, and Dolby Atmos, providing an immersive audio experience.
Built with future-proofing in mind, the IF-85-Q is HDMI 2.0b compliant, ensuring compatibility with the latest generation of HDMI devices. The unit also features intelligent EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) management, with both EDID capture and emulation capabilities. This ensures seamless communication between connected devices and guarantees optimal display performance that can be precisely tailored to individual setups.
For advanced control and integration, the IF-85-Q offers a comprehensive Application Programming Interface (API). This robust API allows for seamless integration into Network Operations Centers (NOC) automation systems, professional AV control platforms, or home theatre scene management systems, enabling automated switching, configuration, and monitoring.
